Apollo 16


Apollo 16 was the tenth manned mission of NASA’s Apollo space program, the fifth and penultimate to land on the Moon.

Crewed by Commander John W. Young, Command Module Pilot Thomas K. Mattingly and Lunar Module Pilot Charles Duke, Jr. Apollo 16 launched from the Kennedy Space Center on April 16, 1972.
